Thank you to Trudell Animal Health for sponsoring this program!
You receive a call from a concerned horse owner about Jazz, a slightly overweight quarter horse who has had a sporadic cough for over a year. Despite supportive care and living outside in a beautiful sunny pasture, Jazz has random episodes of respiratory distress and sometimes they are very scary. What would you do?
Join host Dr. Jill Lopez and her special guest, veterinary internist and horse specialist, Dr. Jean-Yin Tan who reveals all about the Mystery of The Coughing Quarter Horse.

She completed equine acupuncture training in 2010 and in 2011 Dr. Tan opened a successful ambulatory and referral equine veterinary clinic in Upstate New York, where she served as Managing Partner.
In 2015 she joined the University of Calgary as an instructor in Equine Clinical Sciences, where she has played a transformational role in the Clinical Skills program, business stream of the Professional Skills program, and created innovative clinical partnerships with local Indigenous communities.

Let’s have a happy and healthy holiday with Dr. Jessica Turner
Thursday Dec 01, 2022
Thursday Dec 01, 2022
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I hope you are humming that song now because my brain can’t help but fill in “with kids jingle belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer!”
On a serious note, I do believe it is the most wonderful time of the year but sometimes I find myself struggling to go along with the rest of this song and be of good cheer. Instead of slowing down and enjoying the magic that comes with the season, I find myself going at a pace that isn’t sustainable. Then in the blink of an eye, the holidays are over and I am left wondering if I was even present for any of it. I somehow chose to focus on the things that didn’t really matter and missed out on the ones that did.
Can you relate? Maybe it’s because you are drowning in your already overflowing “to-do” list or the mere thought of how much money it’s going to take to make the holidays a reality. Or maybe you are approaching the first holiday season without a loved one or better yet, the first where you are focused on remaining sober in a sea of festive spirits. Whatever you are facing this holiday season, I got you covered with the “Living Well Holiday Special”!
Inside, you will find everything from healthier recipes to fun gift ideas to insight into being in charge of your finances instead of it being in charge of you. My hope is that this book along with the featured podcasts will leave you not only excited about the holidays but prepared to enjoy them as you should!
From my family to yours - Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
With so much love,
😍😍😍😍😍
Dr. Jessica Turner

21 questions with Dr. Corina Collins
Friday Nov 18, 2022
Friday Nov 18, 2022
Dr. Corina Collins has many ways to destress.
She loves listening to music, practicing yoga, watching HGTV, and jumping the very tricky Double Dutch after a hectic day.
In fact, she is something of an expert at helping people feel better…and pets, too!
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Tuskegee University and later attending Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, this veterinarian wanted to learn more about holistic healing. So, Chi University was the next logical step.
“My easiest career decision was becoming a veterinarian,” Dr. Corina explains. “The second easiest decision was becoming certified in veterinary acupuncture.”
Vet Candy had the opportunity to speak with this positive role model. Introducing, the vet with the gentle touch, Dr. Corina Collins!
